Ch\u00e2teau des Faures in Puisseguin presents its latest vintage \u201cVieux Ch\u00e2teau de Noailles\u201d 2017, aged in oak barrels for 10 months, 80% merlot 20% cabernet sauvignon, an extraordinary vintage, a complex year due to climatic hazards, a harvest minimal in quantity but very rich in tannins.<\/p>\n
Nice C\u00f4tes de Bordeaux 2017, The color is quite deep, blood to purple in color. The nose is open and evokes ripe black fruits and spices, a gourmet nose of still fresh fruit. The palate is supple, ample with good density, silky and well-blended tannins, the structure is elegant with aging which shows beautiful intensity on the palate and chew.<\/p>\n
The finish, of good length, is balanced by a welcome freshness. Served between 16\u00b0 and 18\u00b0, this vintage will pair well with grilled red meats, wild boar stew, rabbit with mustard and with characterful cheeses.
